The FINANCIAL Group banks have products on offer for optimising the management of your excess funds.
Fixed-term deposit
The fixed-term deposit (FTD) is a flexible investment: the length of term and the interest rates are negotiable, in accordance with market conditions. Minimum deposits and minimum lengths of term are determined by the banks.
If you need money before the investment matures, you have the option of obtaining an advance or of seeking to have the funds repaid.
The FTD is covered by a contract between the parties. Interest is paid upon maturity.
FTDs must be accompanied by a current account.
Time deposits
Just like FTDs, time deposits (whether registered or anonymous) are a flexible investment: the length of term and interest rate are negotiable, in accordance with market conditions. Minimum deposits and minimum lengths of term are determined by the banks.
A time deposit is a security issued by the bank in exchange for a deposit whose repayment and investment conditions are determined upon subscription. Interest is paid when the subscription is made.
